The beginnings of Rockfield Farm
Rockfield Farm, owned by Michael O’Flynn, is nestled in the countryside of Kilcrea in Cork, and has been in the O’Flynn family for over 100 years. Located across a sprawling lime rich soil of 200 acres, Rockfield Farm has transformed over the generations. Originally as a working dairy farm, Rockfield was converted to a stud farm in 2006.

History as a Stud Farm
As a stud farm, Rockfield Farm bred many successful racehorses from 2006 to 2019, notably including Saddler’s Rock (a Goodwood Cup winner), Galileo Rock (placed in The Derby, Irish Derby and St Leger Stakes). Beckett Rock (two-time recent winner, currently owned by Michael O’Flynn, and in training with Henry de Bromhead), Coltrane (winner of the Doncaster Cup) and Al Qudra (a three-time winner).
